April 11: . . NPR’s Marketplace says nearly half of all workers are looking for a new job, and one third of workers are confident enough to quit now knowing they will find something better. Yet one third that do change jobs say the new job didn’t meet their expectations.. . . When you expose your hard earned dollars to biotechs you have to expect the occasional Biotech Bombshell to blow up in your face. Last week investors stepped on a landmine when BCRX announced they were pausing enrollment in BCX9930 trials and now the future of this potential blockbuster seems murky. Sadly BCRX had been a winner for Breakout Investors for more than a year and sales of their other drug Orladeyo were off to a good start.
On the Feed Florian Buschek has an article, “Tiffany Suspends Purchases of Russian Diamonds, Joining Brilliant Earth and Signet Jewelers.” This is further demonstration of retailers distancing themselves from Russian sourced diamonds. This could be good news for diamond miner DMIFF. . . Scott Shuda feeds us an outstanding article entitled, “Long term oil prices beginning to reflect the coming oil shortage.” This is must read if you want to understand why oil is priced where it is today and where it’s going. I found much of the article to be eye opening. . . If you’re interested in TFFP, there’s a recent TipRanks article on the Feed featuring bullish analyst Michael Okunewitch of Maxim Group and his price target of $14, which implies a 12-month upside of 100%.
Today there will be a webinar with Boardwalktech (BWLKF) CEO and CFO. Details on the Feed. . . I read the conference call transcript of Richardson Electronics (RELL). I am baffled that investors are not more excited. They are primed for an excellent 2022 and 2023 being involved in various forms of green energy. . . “Let me attempt to explain how the causality chain works in the real world based upon market psychology. I don’t think it would come as a surprise to any of you when I repeat something that is relatively of common knowledge. A market tops on euphoria and it bottoms on pessimism. Note that this phrase mentions nothing about earnings or the Fed.” – Avi Gilburt, Sentiment Speaks series, Seeking Alpha. . . Good luck to all.
